Wild swimming in the refreshing waters of River Vyrnwy.

Do you have what it takes to join The Dolanog Dippers?

Take a deep breath

and in you go…

It’s lovely to camp next to the peaceful sound of the river Vyrnwy, but that’s only half the fun. Whether you’re after a gentle paddle or the full Wim Hof, a stay at Camp Plas offers you unbridled access to one of the most gorgeous rivers in Wales.

We also offer you the chance to join Wales’ most exclusive wild swimming club, The Dolanog Dippers!

Disclaimer:

All our guests are welcome to use the river, but please take care and understand that you do so at your own risk. The water is cold all year and the river is wild, with many branches & rocks under the surface. It’s very deep in places. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times when in the river.

Here’s how to join the Dolanog Dippers - Wales’ most exclusive wild swimming club.

  • Step 1:
So you want to be a Dipper?

Okay, here we go. Deep breath and in you get. And we mean right in - none of this paddling business. You didn’t think this would be easy did you?!

  • Step 2:
You're nearly there...

You’ll need a land-lubber friend or fellow camper with a camera for this bit. Strike a pose (shoulders must be under!), and tag us on Instgram @camp_plas with #dolanogdippers

  • Step 3:
You're a Dolanog Dipper!

Congratulations! You’ve earned the right to call yourself a Dolanog Dipper. You’ve also earned the right to wear our exclusive Dolanog Dippers membership patch. You can purchase one from us at the farm - just make sure to show us your photographic evidence!
