Camp Plas campsite has a total of 9 tent pitches (and one luxury boatshed that's available for hire) spread along our large wildflower meadow. Some under the shelter of our native oak trees next to the peaceful sound of the river Vyrnwy, and the others next to our working farm field which usually has our rarebreed sheep roaming freely (along with their little lambs in spring time). You have the option to book whichever side of the meadow you prefer.
£25 per night per pitch based on 2 adults
£6 per extra adult, children under 16 and dogs free of charge.
We do not have EHU's at the site but have plug sockets in the communal kitchen.
Each pitch is the perfect size for one large tent or two small tents (maximum 6 people) or a campervan and is secluded enough from the neighbouring pitch to feel like you have your own slice of the beautiful Welsh countryside. The area is famous for its wildlife, and being next to the river, we're lucky enough to attract lots of rare birds. Your pitch will have it's own firepit - you can purchase firewood during the online booking process (so it's ready for when you arrive) or from the farm at £6 per basket.
'...you have your own slice of the beautiful welsh countryside.'
Our aim is to keep the meadow as undisturbed as possible, so when you arrive you'll be shown your parking space (a couple of minutes from your pitch) and given wheelbarrows to carry your items. This protects the field, keeps it a peaceful area and means children can be free to play in the field safely.
We know that campsite facilities can really make your stay special. During your stay you'll have full use of our communal kitchen area that has a sink, tea and coffee making facilities, gas hobs. There is a sheltered table area, which is perfect to escape to if it's rainy outside. There is also an outdoor seating space - the ideal place for a morning cup of tea whilst enjoying the beautiful birdsong we're lucky enough to have here at Plas Farm. We do not have electrical hookups at the side but we do have plugs available in the communal kitchen area.
For those of you who are coming to the area to enjoy our famous walking trails, we have an outdoor washing area to clean down any dirty clothes/wellies (and of course, your dogs if they've decided to make the most of the river swimming!).
The showers and toilets are self contained, heated little sanctuaries where you can freshen up and get ready to make the most of another beautiful day here in the valley. We have a sink area with mirrors.
